Children home from school due to the mandated social distancing will benefit from fun activities that double as therapy. We know that many children with autism can have trouble with play that is creative. Setting up play activities that have a theme can help kids move from playing with the same toys over and over to playing more creatively.

To add more educational value to the activities, practice writing names of animals or toys used during the game. Talk about your child’s feelings or what the favorite animal, color, car, the weather is and then tell them about your favorite.
